Every semester ESN Utrecht organises an introduction period to welcome all new international students to Utrecht! The first introduction period takes place at the beginning of September and the second introduction in February. This Introduction period is the best way for you as an international student to have a great start of your stay in Utrecht! You will meet local Dutch students, international students and we will show you the best study spots, café’s, bars, clubs and hidden gems of Utrecht. All crucial to an unforgettable exchange!
The ESN introduction period in Utrecht is divided into two periods: the ‘Introduction Day’, and the ‘Introduction Week’. While the introduction day will be an entire day filled with activities to explore the city of Utrecht and getting to know all the new internationals, the introduction week will be four exciting evenings filled with fun activities and parties to make new friends by getting to know your assigned group even better, also referred to as your mentor group. And of course both the day and the week will be closed off with a big introduction theme party!
The Introduction day takes place on a Saturday and the introduction week will only involve evening activities, to make sure you do not need to miss anything of your study. The ESN Introduction is the opportunity for you to get to know the best spots in Utrecht and all your fellow exchange students right away! It is the perfect opportunity to start you stay in Utrecht with many friends and good memories.
In 2019/2020 the Introduction Period will be on the following days:
- Semester 1:
- Introduction Day: Saturday September 7, 2019
- Introduction Week: Monday 9 - Thursday 12 September, 2019
